Province-wide digital banking service disruptions

Assiniboine Credit Union sincerely apologizes to all members for the disruption to service they experienced yesterday, November 22.

The disruption in banking services was the result of a data centre power loss at our technology partner. This impacted many credit union members across the province, including members of Assiniboine Credit Union.

The disruption was a result of a human error caused by a third-party building maintenance staff working onsite. Our technology provider has confirmed this was not a cyber-related issue or deliberate act, and all our member and organizational data and services remain protected.

As a result of the outage members were not able to access online and mobile banking. Some POS and ATM transactions were not working. It also affected the ability of our Member Communication Centre and branches to complete transactions on behalf of members. Everything was back on line late yesterday evening.

We understand the significant impact this service disruption has had on our members and other credit union members across the province. We sincerely thank our membership for their patience.
