Goodbye to Mobile Pay - hello to other ways to pay

Must-know FAQs about our latest app update, including one quick step Android users need to take to make mobile payments.

As of April 28, 2020, Mobile Pay is no longer available for Android users. But there are modern options that take its place.

Mobile Pay was our first in-app payment solution — which was part of the ACU Anytime App. Mobile Pay allowed Android users to tap to pay at retailers who accept Interac Flash.

Question: Do I need to remove anything from my smartphone?
No, you don’t need to remove anything. The ACU Anytime App was automatically updated on April 28, which automatically and securely removed Mobile Pay from the application.

Question: How can I tap to pay now that Mobile Pay has left the building?
Say hello to Google Pay or Samsung Pay — two great options for Android smartphone users. Many members have already migrated to one of these payment apps, and are happily using them as part of their mobile wallets to simplify how they make their purchases.

Here's how to get started:

  1. Add one of these apps to your device:

    Google Pay for all eligible Android devices
    Samsung Pay for eligible Samsung devices

  2. Activate your debit card within the app.
  3. And that’s it! You’re ready to start making payments.

    Question: I have an Apple iPhone. What do I do?
    If you have an iOS device, such as an Apple iPhone, Mobile Pay wasn't part your ACU Anytime app. But you can activate your debit card in Apple Pay, which is part of your iPhone Wallet. Follow these instructions.

    Question: Are there any other app updates?
    You bet! This ACU Anytime App update includes camera enhancements for Samsung devices that will make Remote Deposit Capture better. As usual with updates, this one will also include new bug fixes to stay ahead of the curve on security enhancements.
