We offer attractive compensation packages with competitive pay, benefits and rewards that include a variable pay program for employees based on collective achievement of organizational performance targets and individual performance and contributions.

Work-life balance and vacation

We offer employees above-standard paid vacation time to support their work-life balance. In addition, employees can choose to purchase additional vacation days through ACU’s Vacation Purchase Plan.

Volunteer opportunities

We offer employees opportunities to volunteer with our local community partners, organize and host in-house charity events and participate in our Community Response Drives, Habitat for Humanity builds and events like the Winnipeg Folk Festival!

Employee committees

Employee-led and -managed committees contribute to a culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at ACU. They organize events throughout the year to increase employee awareness, support physical and mental well-being and, in the process, raise money to support community initiatives! These committees include:

  • The Employee FUNd committee plans fun-filled social events such as holiday parties and spirit weeks for staff and families to enjoy throughout the year.
  • The Wellness committee fosters a healthy and engaged workforce by promoting knowledge and awareness about all aspects of wellness.
  • ACU Pride committee is passionate about promoting awareness and education on 2SLGBTQIA+ issues and supporting members within our workplace and community.
  • The Black History committee provides opportunities for all ACU employees to learn about the stories, experiences and accomplishments of all people of African origin.
  • The Indigenous Leadership Circle focuses on connecting employees to our Reconciliation Journey through education and events focused on Indigenous history, traditions and awareness.
  • The Emerging Leaders committee provides learning and networking opportunities for ACU employees interested in pursuing a leadership career path.
  • The Community Grants committee, composed of employees committed to volunteerism and ACU’s values-based initiatives, reviews and evaluates funding applications from local community groups.

EcoPass/sustainable commuting

To support employees who want an easy and affordable commute to work, we offer bus passes at a reduced rate through the Winnipeg Transit EcoPass program. Most ACU locations offer safe bike storage and change rooms for active commuters.
